DGI Wilmax has been awarded a contract by Afcons Infrastructure for the engineering, assembling and production of 12 wellhead control & shutdown panels for the unmanned, offshore well platform LEWP-01P in India. By upgrading the platform with new panels, the safety of maintenance personnel is improved and the service life of the platform is extended.
Safe lifetime extension
Current low oil price has increased the focus on cost control in the industry. Operators are looking for ways to extend the lifetime of their assets. Well platform installations become outdated and inefficient after years of intensive usage. Platforms have to undergo upgrades to extend the service life and stay compliant with the stringent safety regulations. Our wellhead control panels are designed to ensure optimal control in the event of an emergency or process shutdown. This way we comply with safety requirements and meet the client’s wish to extend the service life of the platform.
